Submissions are invited for the 2nd GCRCJS International Conference on Crime & Technology: Prospects & Challenges, 2025 on the theme “The Emerging Interface of Crime & Technology in the Areas of White Collar Crimes, Artificial Intelligence & Economic Offences.”

About GNLU

The Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is an eminent public law school and a National Law University established under the Gujarat National Law University Act, 2003 in the state of Gujarat. The university is located at Gandhinagar, which is the capital of Gujarat and is located 23 kilometers north of the city of Ahmedabad.

About the Conference

The Conference aims to provide a platform for legal scholars, students, practitioners, researchers, technologists, and policymakers to deliberate on the evolving landscape of crime in the digital age. This conference seeks to foster insightful discussions, share cutting-edge research, and propose innovative solutions that address the complex challenges posed by the intersection of crime and technology. GNLU Centre for Research in Criminal Justice Sciences is pleased to announce the organisation of the 2nd edition of GCRCJS International Conference on Crime & Technology: Prospects & Challenges. The conference is scheduled from 8th February 2025 to 9th February 2025.

The GNLU Centre for Research in Criminal Justice Sciences is pleased to organise its 2nd GCRCJS International Conference on Crime & Technology: Prospects & Challenges, 2025 on the theme “The Emerging Interface of Crime & Technology in the Areas of White Collar Crimes, Artificial Intelligence & Economic Offences.” and cordially invite paper submissions for the same.

The above themes and sub-themes are merely indicative in nature and not exhaustive. Participants may submit an abstract on any contemporary, relevant, and connected issue of the intersection of criminal justice administration with technology.

Abstract Guidelines

  • The participants are requested to submit an abstract of a maximum of 250 words in microsoft word document:
  • Font style- (Italic) Times New Roman;
  • Font Size- 12;
  • Line spacing- 1.5;
  • The abstract may include keywords (maximum: five);
  • The abstract must include a clear indication of the objectives, major results and implications;
  • All abstracts will be subject to blind review and only those abstracts approved by the reviewers will be selected to submit their complete paper for the final presentation;
  • The criteria for evaluation are Relevance, Methodology and Originality.

Paper Guidelines

  • The name of the author(s) or any other form of identification must not be mentioned in the research paper.
  • Co-authorship is limited to a maximum of two (2) authors. Both the author and co-author have to be present to present the paper in order to be eligible for the certificate.
  • Word limit: 3000 – 4000 words, excluding footnotes, index, and bibliography.
  • Font style – Times New Roman.
  • Font size – 14 for Headings (Heading 1- Bold and Alphabetical, Heading 2- Italics and Roman, Heading 3- Underlined and small alphabets), 12 for Body, 10 for Footnotes.
  • Line spacing – 1.5 for body, 1.0 for footnotes.
  • Citation style – OSCOLA.
  • Margins – 1 inch (i.e., 2.54 cm) on each side.
  • Note: Speaking footnotes are allowed in the submissions but should be limited to 50 words.
  • Plagiarism limit is 10% in accordance with UGC guidelines.
  • Use of artificial intelligence for submissions is strictly prohibited and highly discouraged.
  • The abstracts that are selected for the final paper presentation will be provided the final paper submission link via email.

Important Dates

  • Submission of Abstract: 3rd December 2024.
  • Notification of Acceptance/Rejection of Abstract: 15th December 2024.
  • Submission of Full Paper and Payment of Registration Fees: 31st January 2025.
  • Date of Conference and Paper Presentation (at GNLU): February 08 & 09, 2025.

Registration Fee

  • GNLU STUDENTS: 1000 INR.
  • STUDENTS: 2000 INR.
  • PROFESSIONALS AND ACADEMICIANS: 3000 INR.
  • FOREIGN STUDENTS/ACADEMICIANS: 90 USD.
  • OBSERVERS: 1500 INR.

Accommodation

The OC of the conference shall not be providing any accommodation to the Participants. However, a list of nearby accommodations will be provided to the participants along with the abstract acceptance mail.

The participants will have to submit an abstract initially which will be vetted. This will be followed by acceptance/rejection communication to the participants. Participants whose abstracts will be accepted will also be sent a link to pay fees and submit the final paper.
