More Punishment for Ram Rahim
On Wednesday, 3 October 2017, two ladies assault casualties assaulted by Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh asked the Punjab and Haryana High Court to upgrade his discipline from 20 years detainment to life detainment.
Promoter Navkiran Singh said that “We have recorded an amendment appeal to in the interest of the assault casualties looking for improvement of the sentence, which is an assault case is a life term.”
CBI Judge Jagdeep Singh had on 28th August granted 10 years in prison in each of the assault cases to the Ram Rahim and was additionally fined Rs. 30 lakhs, with 14 lakh to be paid to each of the two ladies casualty.
The most recent hit to Dera Chief comes only a day after his embraced girl Honeypreet was captured from Punjab following a month-long keep running from police. She faces charges of dissidence, contriving to free Gurmeet Singh and inducing brutality.
