Eligibility of Jammu and Kashmir Judicial Service
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- The candidate must have acquired a law degree from a recognized institute or university.
- Age limit- 21 to 35 years.
- For SC/ ST candidates, refer to the official notification for details.
Pay Scale-
Rs. 27,700-44,700/- with usual dearness allowance and other allowances as sanctioned by the government.

The examination process typically occurs in 3phases-

Preliminary Examination
It consist of two papers viz Paper A & Paper B. Each paper carries 225Marks-
Paper A
- General Knowledge
- Indian Constitution
- CrPC
- Evidence Act
- IPC
- :Limitation Act
Paper B
- CPC
- TPA
- Registration Act
- Financial Code Volume 1 & 2
- Kashmir Services regulation
Each paper of 2 hours duration and will be held on the same day.
Mains
Each Paper carries 100 Marks and is of 3 hours.
