How to Enroll with the State Bar Council for AIBE: Any candidate who has completed his/ her law graduation (3-year or 5-year integrated LLB program) from the academic year 2009-10 onwards, needs to qualify for the AIBE certification exam in order to practice in a court of law in India. Now one requirement for appearing in the AIBE exam is that the candidate must be enrolled as an advocate with a State Bar Council.
As part of the state bar council registration process, the candidate has to go to their respective state bar council website and get enrolled online; however, if the online enrollment option isn’t available, the candidate has to visit the council premises in person, obtain the bar council registration form upon payment of a fee, duly fill and submit it. Eligibility Criteria for State Bar Council Enrollment
- Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen
- Academic qualification: Must have passed a law degree (either 3-year LLB or 5-year LLB degree)
- Age limit: There is no upper age limit for State Bar Council enrollment
