The Election Commision had prescribed exclusion of 20-AAP MLA’s for purportedly holding “workplaces of benefit’. The MLAs were purportedly named as parliamentary secretaries to help different services of the state. The contention began after AAP’s triumph amid the Assembly decisions in 2015. The EC had said the MLAs, by possessing the post of parliamentary secretaries between March 13, 2015 and September 8, 2016, held office of benefit, and were obligated to be excluded as lawmakers. AAP has an enormous greater part in the 70-part Delhi gathering with 65 seats. A portion of the MLAs excluded were Praveen Kumar, Sharad Kumar, Adarsh Shastri, Madan Lal, Charan Goel, Sarita Singh, Naresh Yadav, Jarnail Singh and Rajesh Gupta.
