Main Tasks
The profile of the workplace is incredibly differentiated. The work isn’t just of High Court, yet in addition to different discussions like Debt Recovery Tribunal, Central Administrative Tribunal, Delhi High Court, Supreme Court, and so forth.
Truth be told, the workplace has a standard inflow of cases and filings in Delhi High Court, attributable to which there is part of work relating to Delhi High Court.
Therefore, the interns have widespread exposure to not only court work, but also office work, drafting assignments, as also a variety of tasks, which the legal field may relate to.
I was fortunate enough to witness Sidhharth Gupta sir’s discussion with Senior Advocate R.N. Singh and got to know the approach how practically cases should be looked into to file for the correct relief. Though I was interning during the vacations, even then I could witness at least 5-6 matters in which Siddharth Sir addressed and make extensive arguments before the Court.
This also gave me an insight into the court crafts and the way the cases are to be presented in real life in actual court proceedings. Also, I read more than 50 judgments of the Supreme Court, it helped me enhanced my vocabulary of the legal terms and I was also able to increase my reading speed.
Good Things
- Opportunity is given to every such Intern, who is interested in working in the office and putting in his own efforts and attention to the work.
- The office is Tech-Savvy. There are sufficient numbers of laptops, computers and printers available in the office. The office has WiFi, LAN, resources for research (online and offline) and is fully air-conditioned.
- There are strict instructions to the office staff to take care of daily requirements of the Interns like Snacks, Soft drinks, Sweets, Eateries etc, whatever the interns fall in requirement of.
- Other Associates/Juniors were extremely cordial.
Bad Things
Apart from the good things I would mention a bad thing as well, i.e., sometimes it gets chaotic when there is a great deal of work and afterwards you need to work even after available time and fulfil the time constraints. So it winds up hard-working productively for extended periods of time.
Stipend
I was provided with Rs.3000. The internship is a stipend based internship depending upon your performance.
