About the Blog

The CLIS Blog is a blog established under the aegis of Centre for Litigation Studies, a student-run body at the National Law University, Jodhpur. The body is independently formed by some litigation enthusiasts of NLU, Jodhpur to promote and encourage litigation as a career option among the students.

The centre is aimed at organising lectures and other activities with a special focus on the practical understanding of procedural laws. One of the major projects we undertake is “The Intra-University Public Interest Litigation Filing Competition”, which is organised annually in a bid to make the students familiar with the filing of a PIL.

Submission Guidelines for CLIS Blog

Authors: We invite submissions from litigators, legal scholars, law students and other authors Ejusdem Generis. Co-authorship is permitted to a maximum of two authors.

  • The content of the article should be both original and unpublished as it would be subjected to a Plagiarism Check.
  • The submission should be made in Microsoft Word Format.
  • The length of the article should preferably be between 1000-1500 words. However, this requirement would be flexible at the discretion of the Editorial Board.

How to Submit?

Contributors must send their entries via email to clisnluj[at]gmail.com with a short bio of the author(s) specifying their name and the institution they are affiliated to. The author(s) should also submit a relevant photograph regarding the subject matter of the article if they wish to have a photographic preview of the blog posts on our page and social media handles.

Caveat

  • No comment capable of revealing the identity of the author(s) is to be made in the article itself. (The identity should only be mentioned in the body of the email)
  • The subject of the email should be “BLOG SUBMISSION”.
  • Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the calendar year.

Clarifications

  •  The Editorial Board will have the sole authority in accepting, rejecting or suggesting modifications to the submissions.
  • CLIS Blog follows a double-blind peer review policy, which we undertake to complete within 14 days of submission. However, the acknowledgement receipt of your draft would be sent within 2 days of submission.
  • Please note that the articles which merely summarise a case, or are of descriptive nature, are discouraged. We give preference to articles which include a critical analysis or explore the wider arena of law and litigation.
