ABOUT THE COMPETITION
Our experience as law students helped us to understand that there a lot of opportunities in the world but the problem is the lack of information and adequate support to the students. We believe that with proper guidance, you can achieve anything that you want. his Research Paper Writing Competition endeavors to provide law students with a incentive to start writing research papers, complete their unfinished papers and develop a flair for writing. But what is the purpose of writing a research paper when you cannot get it published? Through this Research Paper Competition, the team of TLC has decided to personally guide and assist a myriad of students to publish their submitted manuscripts in UGC recognized Journals and other Nationally renowned journals. So, it is not just a competition to write a paper but an opportunity to know the feeling of publication in the journals you always dreamt
of.
CALL FOR PAPERS
The Legal Chronicle invites submissions of original research papers for the competition on the following theme and in the following categories.
Theme
The competition is not restricted to any specific theme or area of law. The articles must be on issues at the forefront of contemporary legal discourse and on a topic which has not already been researched enormously.
Categories
Submissions are accepted for the following categories:
i. Long Articles: 3,000 to 5,000 words

ii. Short Articles: 1,500 to 3,000 words
Short articles should be more concise. These papers usually deal with a very specific issue and argue that the issue must be conceptualized differently. The papers in this category should make an easily identifiable and concrete argument.
iii. Case Notes and Legislative Comments: 1,500 to 3,000 words
Case Notes are expected to analyse any contemporary judicial pronouncement, or a new piece of legislation, whether in India or elsewhere. The Note must identify and examine the line of cases in which the decision in question came about, and comment on implications for the evolution of that branch of law. In case of Legislative Comment, the Note must analyse the objective of the legislation, and the expected legal impact.
