MARKING SCHEME
CLAT has a marking scheme of +1/-0.25; it means for every correct answer you get +1 and for every wrong answer you get -0.25. For every question that you do not attempt you get 0 marks.
MODE OF EXAM
CLAT will be conducted in pen and paper based mode in which you are required to fill your answers in an OMR Sheet.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE
For this section, it is important to read as much as possible. Practicing comprehension passages, para jumbles and reading newspapers are the best way to increase you answering speed and learning new phrases. MATHEMATICS
This is the only section were giving a ‘mere reading’ is not enough. The more you practice, the better you will get at it. Revising in your areas of weakness will help you ace this section.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE AND CURRENT AFFAIRS
There is no defined syllabus for this section and there is no source from which you can study will help you prepare for 100% of the questions asked in section. Some topics which you should definitely prepare for are:
- Important Awards Each Year In Fields Of Spots, Literature, Science And Arts.
- Major UN Bodies, Their Functions, Locations And Their Heads.
- Indian Geography And History.
- Important Topics Relating To Indian Constitution And Indian Justice System.

LOGICAL REASONING AND LEGAL REASONING
For acing CLAT, you should focus on static and current legal issues, landmark judgements, and important cases from previous years. Reading about all the new amendments and enactments done in both monsoon and winter session of the parliament along with recent contemporary issues will help you too. It is also important to work on vocabulary comprising legal terms, foreign phrases and maxims will help you understand the passages.
