The Faculty of Law, PES University was established in 2017, under the able guidance of our Hon’ble Founder and Chancellor, Dr. M.R Doreswamy, with a vision of establishing a global law school. The institution is also guided and mentored by several legal luminaries like Justice M.N Venkatachalaiah, former Chief Justice, Supreme Court of India. Over ten semesters, it offers a five-year integrated BBA LLB (Hons.) and BA LLB (Hons.) program. Our curriculum includes specializations in Corporate Law, Intellectual Property Law, Constitutional Law, and Criminal Law. Recognizing the glory and the responsibility associated with the legal profession, we have fine-tuned the nuances of legal education to meet the demands of the modern era, including corporate needs and international litigation.ABOUT CENTRE FOR CORPORATE LAW
The Centre for Corporate Law is an initiative of the Faculty of Law, PES University aimed at institutionalizing and channelizing research on corporate and business-related aspects that take place nationally and internationally. It aims to facilitate the development of practical skills required for corporate law practice, including drafting legal documents, negotiation, and dispute resolution and also organizes events and activities that foster engagement with legal issues affecting businesses, such as panel discussions, workshops, and guest lectures. The Centre for Corporate Law has successfully organized academically driven events, such as "Avinya," where participants presented innovative ideas aimed at benefiting the legal fraternity. The event was highly successful and concluded on a positive note. Additionally, we hosted a distinguished lecture on banking law, featuring one of the most esteemed experts in the fieldABOUT THE COMPETITION – TACTICAL TRIUMPH
This competition aims to stimulate the process of forming a joint venture between multiple companies. Students will take on the roles of representatives from different organizations, each proposing a unique joint venture idea. Through a series of rounds, teams will engage in boardroom meetings, negotiations, and the drafting of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to solidify their partnerships. The goal of this event is to instil in the students an understanding of the pressure and practical issues that arise when a firm approaches a joint venture, as well as the potential crises that may arise and how to handle them. The event will consist of: 1. Portfolio Submission 2. Boardroom Meeting 3. Negotiation 4.
