About Expressions@RGNUL
Expressions@RGNUL is an academic event with a vision to promote new ideas. It provides a platform to the young minds to test their perspectives on various issues. The third edition of the event, in testing and challenging times of Covid- 19, is an endeavour to engage students in creative activities. It will provide them an opportunity to test their reading, writing and speaking skills.
RGNUL invites Undergraduates, Postgraduates and Research Scholars of all disciplines to articulate their thoughts on the theme: Lockdown Times and E-Learning
ABOUT RGNUL
Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) Punjab is a premier education institute. It has been established by State Legislature of Punjab by Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
Undergraduates, Postgraduates and Research Scholars of all disciplines from National and International Institutes Students enrolled for courses in September 2020 are also eligible for participation

Participants can select a maximum of three activities mentioned

- ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION (ENGLISH)
Topics for Essay Writing (Select one) Word limit for the essay is 2000-2500 words
- Lockdown Times
- E-learning
- Covid Crisis
- Cyber Torts
- Technology and Law
- Survival of the Fittest
- Arogya Setu
Rules:-
- Only two Co-Authors allowed
- Only original essays on the given topic that have not been published or have not been accepted for publication should be mailed to expressions@rgnul.ac.in
- The essays should not carry any mark of identification
- The essay must be type written in MS Word, Times New Roman, 12 font size and 1.5 line spacing
- Last date to submit soft copy of essay is 17th August, 2020
- Late entries shall not be accepted
2. DEBATE
Topic:- E-Learning is Effective in Higher Education Rules
- Time: 03 to 05 Minutes
Team of Two Participants (For and Against the motion)
Participants will not announce his or her name or the name of
Institution during the Competition.
Paper reading is prohibited
No separate rebuttal round
Rebuttals within the stipulated time
- POETRY RECITATION (HINDI, ENGLISH OR PUNJABI)
Rules
- Time: 4-6 minutes
- Self- Composed poems are allowed

5.BOOK TALK (ENGLISH & HINDI )
RULES
- Time: 10 to 15 minutes
- Students of all courses/streams are eligible
- Participants shall make a presentation on a book (Fiction/ Non-fiction)
- Participants will send the Name of the Book and Author (To be filled in Registration Form)
- The presentation must include Introduction to the Author and the
- Book, Thematic Issues and Relevance of the Book to the Contemporary Times
- Paper Reading is not allowed.
6.POSTER MAKING
- Poster should have a caption
- Mail the scanned copy by 17th August 2020
- Participants will also attach two pictures of initial stages of poster
- layout with the entry to be submitted on 17th August 2020
REGISTRATION
Single Activity- Rs. 1,000/-
Three Activities- Rs. 2,500/-
Co- Author (Essay)- Rs. 1,500/-
Debate Teammates- Rs. 2,000/-
- No Registration Fee for International Participants
- Meritorious International Entries will be given E-Certificates
- Image/Scanned copy of Institutional ID must be mailed with the Entry/Registration
- Time Schedule for Preliminary & Final Rounds will be sent to the Participants
- In case Co-Authors/ Debate Teammates are participating in additional
- activities(1+2=3), they must fill separate form for the same and
- Registration Fee Rs. 1,500/- (Total 1,000+1,500 = 2,500/- for 3 activities)

- Students participating in three activities (Book Talk, Elocution and Debate) will be eligible for Best Speaker prize
- For Special Prize Ambassador Expressions@RGNUL
- (Rs. 5, 000/-), anyone who encourages six or more students to participate in Expressions@RGNUL can send details of the registered participants to expressions@rgnul.ac.in with subject “Ambassador” by 25th August 2020
- Winner will be intimated by 31st August 2020
